Millennium Park Ice Skating
Season Opens Wednesday, November 14 10am - 10pm
Ice skating in Millennium Park is the perfect way to enjoy winter in Chicago! The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink is free; skate rental is available for $9. The rink will be open daily November 14, 2007 through March 16, 2008, 10am - 10pm, weather permitting.
On Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year's Day, January 1, the rink will be open from Noon - 8pm. (Please note that the rink will close at 8pm on Thursday, December 27 and Monday, January 7).
Caroling at Cloud Gate

On Friday nights throughout the holiday season, Millennium Park is home to Chicago's newest holiday tradition - Caroling at Cloud Gate! Chicagoans and visitors are invited to Cloud Gate, the city's newest icon, to hear the beautiful voices of a variety of choral groups, and join in a holiday sing-along. Complimentary hot beverages courtesy of Starbucks, will be available each evening.
Come out and skate
10 ice rinks located at parks across the city will have ice skating this season. Rinks open for the season on Friday, November 23. Skating Season Runs Through Feb. 29
Mt. Greenwood Park, 3721 W. 111 St., 312-747-3690 Wednesday – Sunday, 12:30 – 7:30 p.m. $5 skate rental; admission free. No food concessions are available.
Midway Plaisance Park, 1130 Midway Plaisance North (east 59th Street at Woodlawn), 312-745-2470 Monday – Thursday, 12 – 7 p.m.; Friday, 12 – 4:30 p.m., 5 – 7 p.m.; Saturday, 1-9 p.m.; Sunday, 12 – 7 p.m. $3 skate rental; admission is $4 for children, $5 for adults. Food concessions are available.
