Shedd Aquarium Program
High School Marine Biology 2007
This summer Gabrielle Pappas participated in a Shedd Aquarium program called High School Marine Biology (HSMB). Applications were available in January and she had to apply by last March. They have a maximum of 30 students in the program. She spent a week at the Shedd learning about marine biology then she went to the Bimini Islands which are down by the Bahamas. She spent a week on a Shedd research vessel called the "Coral Reef II". Then she had another 4 days at the Shedd after the trips were over. Only 10 kids at a time went on the trip. She loved it and learned so much. It is a very cool thing to do for any high school age teen that has a interest in marine biology. Now this fall she will be in their Camp Shedd Program. It is once a month for 4 times in the fall. Gabrielle wants to go to college and study Marine biology so this was a great experience for her. Submitted by Michelle Pappas

Hogwash is truly a bonanza of interactive family theater which "gives kids a reason to squeal" according to Time Out Chicago for an unforgettable hour of what The Seattle Times deems "kid friendly with edge."
