The Weird Sisters

Comedy/Cabaret at World Music Company
1808 W. 103rd St.
Sat. Oct. 18 8 p.m. $25
“May be the most rapturously funny show in
Chicago right now!” – Chicago magazine.
“One of the top five comedy acts in Chicago” – RedEye.
An evening of bawdy and hilarious music and comedy. “We’re all about booze, sex, drugs and stand-up.”
The Weird Sisters - Ludovica, Abel, and Sissy - hail from the locally renowned but globally ignored wine region of the Carpathian Mountains. They got their start when they realized there was no conceivable way they could make a living at anything else. Thankfully, there was enough talent between the three of them to make for one good act.
Songwriters and bon vivants, the Sisters have penned many exquisite originals, including “Some Like It Hot,” “Forbidden Love,” and the ever popular “Blood Clot Song,” while also including in their repertoire such classic covers as “The Boy From Ipanema,” “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” and “That Old Black Magic.”
They will also perform spooky songs suitable for Halloween and will be backed by the incomparable Strange Brothers on bass and percussion.
