CSI: The Experience
Now till September 3rd
We went to the Museum of Science & Industry over the weekend and the entire family enjoyed cracking our case. There are opportunities to compare hair samples under a microscope, compare DNA and many other investigative tools for solving crimes. Everyone enjoyed the exhibit. My kids are 7 & 8. Cirque Shanghai : Bai Xi - Navy Pier
June 6 - September 3, 2007
Navy Pier is pleased to announce the return of Cirque Shanghai, the extraordinarily talented troupe of Chinese acrobats, at the Pepsi Skyline Stage from Wednesday, June 6 through Monday, Sept. 3. Presented in partnership with International Special Attractions, Ltd. (ISA), the company will be performing the world premiere of their new full-scale theatrical production, Cirque Shanghai: Bai Xi.
Dating back to the Han Dynasty more than 2000 years ago, Chinese acrobatic art was first called "Bai Xi," meaning "100 amazing acts," in reference to the performers' seemingly limitless skills. The art developed out of the annual village harvest celebrations and has been passed down through generations. Today, BAI XI combines many aspects of performance: entertainment, feats of physical strength, dance, costume and music. Cirque Shanghai: Bai Xi will honor the Chinese tradition in its new production featuring aerial acrobatics, plate spinning, contortion, balancing acts, hoop diving and more.
