Fabulous holiday drink
Cranberry Margaritas

INGREDIENTS FOR PUREE:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 101/2 cups apple juice
- 12 oz. bag of cranberries
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
In a heavy saucepan, combine the brown sugar and 1 cup of apple juice, bring to a boil, stir and add the cranberries. Boil mixture for one minute, stir, reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes. Cool mixture. In a blender or food processor, blend the cranberry puree mixture, apples and 1/2 cup apple juice until smooth. This mixture will keep for a week chilled and covered in the refrigerator. We make this ahead of time, usually the day before we need it.
MIXING THE MARGARITAS:
- 3 cups ice
- 5 oz Cuervo Gold Tequilla
- 1-1/2 oz. Triple Sec
- 2 oz Whiskey Sour Mix
- Splash of Roses Lime Juice
- 1-1/2 cups cranberry puree mix
